Teach Cybersecurity at Trocaire College

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

We are seeking a qualified Cyber Security Professor to join our faculty team at Trocaire College. As a professor of cybersecurity, you will be responsible for teaching students the fundamental principles and practices of cybersecurity, including network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, incident response, and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field, and professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+. Experience working in the cybersecurity field, preferably in roles such as a cybersecurity analyst, network security administrator, or similar positions, is highly desirable. Prior teaching experience, especially in a higher education setting, is also an asset.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with College defined learning objectives and specified digital resources.
  • Develop course content, assignments, and learning activities that permit measurement of student performance relative to standardized learning objectives.
  • Maintain and contribute to an inclusive and collaborative class environment.
  • Employ college learning management system (LMS) and adhere to good instructional practices.
  • Submit attendance and midterm/final grades into the student information system at required time frames.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a master's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience working in the cybersecurity field, preferably in roles such as a cybersecurity analyst, network security administrator, or similar positions.
  • Prior teaching experience, especially in a higher education setting, is desirable but not always required.
Working Conditions:

This position requires a general classroom and office environment, with work indoors. The successful candidate must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and use computers and other technology for the preparation and teaching of classes, as well as for communication.
