Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Senior to join our Finance team at Jobot. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning to clients, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Identify and research tax planning and compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
  • Represent clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
  • Manage multiple client assignments and projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide superior customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax senior or similar role.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
