Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver will assist residents with their personal care and activities of daily living, perform daily housekeeping tasks, and review and participate in 24 Hour Reports, Daily Logs, and Shift Cross-over Reports. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members, and possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks
  • Review and participate in 24 Hour Reports, Daily Logs, and Shift Cross-over Reports
  • Assist residents to and from scheduled programs
  • Promote personal choices, independence, and spiritual needs
  • Perform laundry duties
  • Respond to resident emergency calls
  • Ensure compliance with new resident care protocols
  • Report all resident changes in condition to the Wellness Nurse or Resident Wellness Director
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal care information
  • Honor residents' personal and property rights
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aid preferred
  • License/Certificate for Medication Assistance (if applicable) as needed per state regulations
  • CPR certification/First Aid certification
  • Experience working with seniors preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand or walk 75% of the day
  • Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions
  • Able to work under stress and in emergency situations
  • Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping
  • Able to talk and hear effectively
