Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Port Salerno, Florida. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine eligibility for special education services and develop IEPs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide individual and group therapy services to students, targeting goals outlined in their IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies to support communication skills in the classroom and school community.
- Participate in district-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Florida DOH state licensure as an SLP and certification of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong knowledge of current theories, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and demonstrated cultural competence.
Compensation: $45+/hr (depending on experience). Paid weekly (W-2), mileage reimbursement between school sites, medical, vision, dental benefits, 401k, and onsite and remote support.
