Position Overview
The Biomedical Technician II (BMET II) plays a crucial role in the healthcare environment by ensuring the functionality and safety of sophisticated biomedical devices. This position involves the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification of complex medical equipment with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Service - 40%
- Conduct performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on intricate biomedical devices.
- Execute repairs, installations, and calibrations of complex biomedical equipment.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding repair statuses, scheduled inspections, and any customer concerns.
- Collaborate with and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and external service technicians to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain and enhance biomedical expertise through continuous training and education.
- Assist with special projects as assigned within Service Operations.

Regulatory Compliance - 25%
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory, performance assurance schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and comply with all regulatory agency requirements and applicable policies.
- Guarantee that all service and documentation are complete, timely, and accurate.

Account Relationship Management - 25%
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinical staff.
- Represent the organization positively by integrating core values into job performance.

Inventory Management - 10%
- Conduct periodic inspections of current inventory status.
- Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment.
- Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a comprehensive inventory of medical devices, including trial, rental, and loaner equipment.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in complex computer skills, including system administration, error code interpretation, and hardware replacement.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Associate's degree in a technical or electronics field, equivalent military experience, or two years of relevant experience.
- Technical Certification (CBET) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering setting.
- Valid driver's license is required; travel may be necessary based on business needs.
