The successful candidate will ensure timely procurement and delivery of essential components, while also providing vital support to the maintenance crew through effective order management and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee workforce management, including daily support, in-house repairs, and scheduling for vacations and overtime.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance work orders, focusing on urgent safety-related tasks.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts; identify and procure necessary components while managing the tracking system.
- Assist in training and supervising maintenance staff to meet production needs.
- Conduct regular inspections to detect issues and determine required maintenance actions.
- Utilize established tracking systems and repair protocols to restore equipment to operational status.
- Enhance planning methodologies for the preventative maintenance program.
- Identify trends in equipment failures and communicate findings to the site manager for further analysis.
- Generate and review maintenance reports using automated systems; create and distribute scheduled maintenance work orders.
- Ensure compliance with all mandated maintenance regulations within specified timeframes.
- Review the master maintenance schedule and work orders, establishing priorities based on parts and material availability.
- Allocate materials strategically to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure that suppliers deliver materials, supplies, and services to meet both internal and external customer needs.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure high quality and timely delivery.
- Execute a routine cycle of releasing, expediting, and reviewing maintenance requirements to support manufacturing operations.
- Drive timely part deliveries to avoid shortages.
- Provide suppliers with forecasting information based on schedules as needed.
- Analyze inventory levels to meet Days of Inventory objectives.
- Support the prompt resolution of any material deviations and manage the return of defective parts to vendors.
- Address all supplier invoicing issues to ensure timely payments.
- Manage supplier performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in procurement or planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems, preferably SAP and Mfg/Pro.
  • In-depth knowledge of materials planning and inventory management processes.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in operating computer systems and software for production data analysis.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
