Role Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the heart-lung machine utilized during cardiac surgical interventions.

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Director of Cardiovascular Services.

Employment Classification:

FLSA: Exempt


Essential Qualifications:

Educational Background

Graduation from a CAHEA-accredited perfusion education program
Associate's degree in a relevant medical field
*Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Board Certification from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (preferred)

Key Competencies

Demonstrated critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and capacity to operate independently. Must thrive in high-pressure situations and respond appropriately.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required.
