Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team at K2 Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the preconstruction effort, including quantity surveys, subcontractor solicitation, and independent research.


Job Description

As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in determining project costs, preparing detailed quantity surveys, and identifying relevant information through independent research. You will work closely with internal teams, owners/architects, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare consistently accurate, detailed, quantity surveys.
  • Identify, research, and obtain relevant information related to items for which you are tasked with quantifying or soliciting subcontractor proposals.
  • Develop complete project cost estimate packages for projects up to $5m, depending on complexity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree within the construction field.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Timberline or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project-specific information.
