Avports LLC is seeking a highly skilled Airport Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our deicing storm water collection, containment, and treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Start, stop, and change pumps and valves as required to ensure efficient operation of the storm water treatment system.
- Monitor and Report: Report emergencies or unusual conditions to ensure prompt resolution and maintain a safe working environment.
- Record and Adjust: Assist in recording and adjusting the storm water collection, containment, and treatment system to optimize performance.
- Perform Physical Tasks: Plow ramp areas and airside roadways, clean the ramp area with glycol collection equipment, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Participate in Quality Initiatives: Participate in Total Quality Management Programs to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in our operations.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Certifications and Licenses: Must possess and maintain a NYS CDL B license and be proficient in operating a forklift or other heavy equipment as may be needed.
