Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Lodging Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned guest accommodations, linens, corridors, carpets, and other specified facilities to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. This role also involves ensuring adherence to daily operational protocols and policies within the housekeeping department. The supervisor may need to undertake administrative and cleaning responsibilities as required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantees that all team members (cleaning staff, maintenance personnel, linen handlers, and general resort employees) arrive on time, well-presented, and in appropriate uniforms.
  • Assists in crafting and executing work schedules, roles, attire, appearance, and behavior expectations for all housekeeping personnel.
  • Facilitates training on all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Promotes effective guest relations and manages the lost and found process to ensure all items are logged and returned promptly.
  • Collaborates closely with the maintenance team to ensure all repairs are completed and areas are cleaned prior to guest arrivals.
  • Oversees linen inventory management and handling, maintaining accurate room counts.
  • Orders and allocates all necessary supplies and equipment while managing costs effectively.
  • Motivates housekeeping staff and ensures optimal staff utilization to enhance productivity.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas and performs additional tasks as directed.
  • Ensures that employee accommodations are cleaned bi-weekly.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy conservation.
  • Reports to work punctually and in full uniform.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Prior experience in housekeeping is essential.
  • Supervisory experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning tools, machines, and solutions is required.
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for cleaning products in use is important.
