Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize AIDET communication techniques to identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exams are performed, and establish rapport with patients and staff.
  • Instruct and communicate with patients regarding the test to be performed, assessing their ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures, positioning patients, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
  • Protect patients and staff by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment, reporting issues to management as needed.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation, including requisitions, patient histories, and consent forms.
Requirements
  • Motivated candidates with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Work Experience

At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, with a strong track record of efficiency, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
