Position Summary: As an Environmental Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and exceptional customer service of the Environmental Services (EVS) department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold a superior standard of cleanliness in designated areas.
- Engage in the recruitment and selection of staff.
- Assist in scheduling for housekeeping personnel.
- Delegate established work areas and project responsibilities.
- Plan and coordinate project assignments effectively.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Provide individual guidance and motivation to team members.
- Contribute to the facility's Quality Assurance Program as needed.
- Handle cleaning chemicals regularly, necessitating appropriate safety gear.
- Assign and oversee equipment usage, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance.
- Support housekeepers as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in support services, military, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong commitment to quality and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient problem-solving abilities in both individual and group settings.
- Ability to manage staff using a collaborative approach.
- Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss awareness.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Capability to perform well under pressure.
- Preferred certification: CRCST or similar sterile processing credential.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
