William Newton Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team as a Travel Ultrasound Technologist. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and echocardiograms using various equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound exams and echocardiograms on patients of all ages, using a variety of equipment and techniques.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including PACS, Phillips, GE, Hitachi, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba systems.
- Develop and implement protocols for ultrasound exams, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- 1 year of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent.
- ARDMS, BLS, and RVT certifications required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Paracentesis and thoracentesis skills.
- Experience with echo skills, including 2D and 3D echocardiography, bubble studies, color Doppler, and TEE.
- Knowledge of imaging with contrast agents and Simpson's Rule.
