We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. as a Mental Health Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychological assessment, therapy, and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Management
- Supervise and mentor mental health workers to ensure clear expectations and goals are met.
- Provide regular feedback and evaluations to staff members.
- Ensure staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to accomplish their tasks.
- Meet performance planning and evaluation system requirements.
- Psychological Service Provision
- Provide psychological services, including assessment, therapy, and treatment planning, to patients on caseload.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Conduct initial psychology documentation for patients transferred to the unit.
- Ensure timely and quality services consistent with departmental standards.
- Committee Meetings and Department Assignments
- Participate in departmental and hospital committees to provide input and guidance.
- Attend meetings and provide quality input.
- Perform basic hospital management responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication and Safety
- Demonstrate openness and effective communication with staff and patients.
- Report safety issues in a timely manner and maintain mandatory training requirements.
- Forensic Assessments
- Perform forensic evaluations in accordance with applicable legal and professional standards.
- Knowledge of serious mental disorders, psychological assessment, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to assess, formulate, and provide interventions for individuals with serious mental disorders.
- Ability to conduct individual and group psychotherapy.
- Ability to administer and interpret common psychological assessment measures.
- Consultation skills for the assessment, management, and treatment of individuals with serious mental disorders.
- Interpersonal, oral, and writing skills to communicate effectively with individuals with serious mental disorders, family members, and other individuals of varying backgrounds and roles.
