Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Associates are tasked with a variety of cleaning duties aimed at keeping the gym in top condition. Their responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning exterior glass surfaces and mirrors
  • Wiping down gym equipment, doors, and floors as needed
  • Emptying trash bins on a daily basis
  • Sweeping and mopping floors, stairwells, and staircases
  • Maintaining carpets and floors as required
  • Sanitizing all fitness equipment and restrooms, including tiles, tubs, walls, and sinks
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures on a daily basis
  • Cleaning management offices on a weekly basis
  • Mopping and sweeping lobby areas
  • Maintaining cleanliness in locker rooms, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and dusting
  • Organizing and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies in designated storage areas
  • Vacuuming carpets and picking up debris
  • Restocking necessary supplies in locker rooms and restrooms
  • Cleaning vacuum cleaner bags or canisters on a daily basis
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly and accurately
  • Conducting monthly and weekly deep cleaning tasks as assigned by management, such as window cleaning and equipment dusting
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A minimum of three (3) months of experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, along with three (3) months of customer service experience; experience in hospitality or health clubs is advantageous
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities
  • The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
