A progressive and fast-growing group of dealerships in Central Indiana is seeking a high-performing Parts Manager to join its team. As the ideal candidate, you must possess exceptional communication skills, strong relationships with internal and external customers, inventory control, profitability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the parts department.
  • Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
  • Maintain inventory levels consistent with departmental requirements.
  • Create pricing guidelines for customer categories.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels as necessary.
  • Ensure all parts are properly tagged.
  • Supervise stock order procedures.
  • Collaborate with the service manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed.
  • Provide technical assistance when required.
  • Establish and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of dealership automotive parts management experience.
  • GM Parts experience preferred.
  • Technical automotive knowledge.
  • Ability to manage others.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of inventory and reporting.
