Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs of patients. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient requests for procedures and determine the necessary diagnostic images to be obtained.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process, positioning them, and attaching necessary devices.
  • Assist radiologists in performing routine radiographs and adjust imaging equipment as needed.
  • Monitor patient conditions before and during procedures, recognizing changes that may require emergency actions.
  • Document procedure verification and procedural details using a computerized system.
  • Collect and forward completed diagnostic images to the appropriate location for interpretation and results reporting.
  • Practice sterile, isolation, and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and maintain infection control procedures.
  • Monitor quality control on a daily basis and report equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain good rapport and cooperative relationships with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Confidentially handle patient, physician, and employee information.
  • Provide quality patient care by considering age-specific, developmental, and cultural needs.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and registration as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Maintenance of Continuing Education credits (24 CEU in two-year period) and other requirements to maintain ARRT certification.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy and understanding of physics, electricity, and anatomical positions.
  • Ability to set up and operate equipment with an emphasis on reducing patient radiation dose (ALARA).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
