Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Associate. This role involves performing a variety of essential cleaning and maintenance tasks that are non-technical in nature, under limited supervision. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning Duties:
    • Manage waste disposal and recycling as instructed.
    • Conduct daily cleaning of main entrances and glass doors.
    • Check and replenish restroom supplies twice daily.
    • Maintain cleanliness in kitchenettes.
  • Maintenance Tasks:
    • Perform minor repairs including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
    • Execute routine preventive maintenance activities.
    • Replace light bulbs and lamps throughout the facility.
    • Report any major repair needs to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Distribute packages and deliveries to designated areas.
    • Ensure the grounds are tidy and well-maintained, including:
      • Daily upkeep of flower beds and removal of weeds.
      • Maintenance of mulch beds.
      • Regular sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Manage snow and ice removal from walkways and entrances.
Complete other tasks as assigned by management.Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position does not have supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or Trade School Certificate.
  • At least two years of experience in a related field.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic administrative and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to foster positive working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Interest in learning new maintenance skills.
  • Capability to follow established procedures with minimal training.
Working Conditions:

The physical demands of this role include:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb a 10-foot ladder.
  • Willingness to stand and walk for extended periods.
