We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tire Technician to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for assisting members in the selection and purchase of tires, properly installing and repairing tires, and maintaining tire bay policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, ensuring accurate fitment and compatibility
- Properly install and repair tires, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing
- Maintain a clean and organized tire bay, including disposing of tires and filling propane tanks as needed
- Merchandise tire displays and automotive products, ensuring a visually appealing and well-stocked area
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Coordinate with Home Office regarding member tire needs, as needed
- Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory, understanding and utilizing available special-order tire programs
- Comply with safety and cleanliness standards, properly utilizing tire bay equipment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles required
- Strong interpersonal skills required, with ability to work effectively with members and colleagues
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn required
- Prior tire installation experience preferred, with ability to pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance, with occasional need to lift and move heavy and/or awkward objects
- Competitive starting salary of $17.00 per hour
