Signature Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Brockton Hospital. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation of patients in our outpatient orthopedic clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and provide direct patient care per physician orders to rehabilitate patients in an outpatient setting.
- Under the supervision of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, provide clinical supervision to affiliated students and physical therapy aides.
- Perform and assist patients through various therapeutic modalities and techniques per established procedures.
- Recommend modification of treatment plans and goals, and maintain open communication with the primary therapist related to changes in the patient's physical and mental status.
- Meet with the patient's care team members on developing and implementing care plans and discharge planning.
- Provide ongoing patient, family, and caregiver education, and present with a positive attitude and demeanor at all times.
- Associate of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school required.
- Registration in the State of Massachusetts is required.
- BLS certification.
