Faculty Position in Large Animal Reproduction, Clinician Educator Track

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our team as a Clinician Educator in Large Animal Reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical service, teaching, and research in the area of large animal reproduction, with a focus on equine reproduction.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical service in large animal reproduction, including stallion breeding soundness evaluation and breeding management, mare reproductive diagnosis and treatment, and embryo transfer.
- Teach and mentor students in the Department of Clinical Studies-New Bolton Center, including didactic and laboratory teaching, and clinical teaching and mentoring.
- Conduct research in large animal reproduction, with a focus on equine reproduction, and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development activities.
Qualifications include a DVM/VMD (or equivalent) degree and Diplomate status or eligibility for certification by the American College of Theriogenologists or the European College of Animal Reproduction. An advanced research degree (e.g. MS/PhD) is preferred. Special consideration will be given to candidates with clinical expertise and/or research interest in stallion reproduction, reproductive behavior, oocyte and embryo biology, or the application of assisted reproduction to the preservation of genetics of endangered species and breeds.
