Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the project from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Construction Inspection: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of construction inspectors, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including NJDOT, NJTA, DRPA, and DRJTBC, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily inspection reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex project issues, working collaboratively with the construction team and clients to find effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in highway/bridge construction, with 3+ years of experience on projects exceeding $10M.
  • Certifications: NICET 4 Highway Construction Inspection certification, valid driver's license, and other relevant certifications (ACI-Concrete Field Testing Technician, NJSAT Asphalt Paving Construction Technologist, Rutgers TCC certification).
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to project sites and regional offices. The position requires strong physical stamina, with the ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 25 pounds.
