Patient Ambassador

Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Ambassador, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience at UMass Memorial Health. Your primary role will be to act as the informational resource for patients and visitors, providing accurate information about services and fostering a positive image of the hospital.
Main Duties:
- Ensure patients and visitors are greeted promptly and courteously, providing them with accurate information about services and procedures.
- Assist with the visitor management program, including screening, documenting data, and tracking visitor location.
- Utilize computers to access daily patient schedules and provide patients with appointment information as needed.
- Manage a high volume of telephone calls, arranging transportation and monitoring visitor activities in the lobby area.
- Distribute PPE to employees, patients, and visitors.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need strong customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize. Familiarity with basic medical terminology is also essential.
