Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Specialist to join our team at Riverdale City Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of our city's recreation programs, ensuring a positive city image in public relations matters, and controlling the use of recreation equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recreation programs and services
  • Assure positive city image in public relations matters
  • Control the use of recreation equipment
  • Assist with special events and celebrations
  • Provide general supervision to part-time and volunteer personnel
Requirements
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in recreation or a related field
  • Knowledge of recreation program development and operation, sports and recreational activities, and computer software applications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, community members, and other organizations
  • Valid driver's license desirable
Work Environment

The Recreation Specialist will work in a typical office setting and outside setting, performing a variety of physical activities that require walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting. The position requires frequent local travel and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Riverdale City Corporation offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a drug and alcohol test and background check as a pre-condition of employment. The Recreation Specialist position is an at-will position and is exempt from the protections of Utah Code 10-3-1105.
