Position Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team, responsible for performing general construction work for underground telecommunications utilities. This role requires extensive travel, including overnight stays, to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of our fiber optic network.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general construction work under the direction of the Foreman, ensuring safe and effective execution of tasks.
• Install and maintain underground fiber optic and other telecommunications cabling service lines, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and other moving or stationary objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
• Restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Dig pits, trenches, and potholes as directed by job plan, using appropriate mechanical tools when necessary.
• Site set-up and clean-up, including loading, unloading, tying down, and securing tools, materials, and equipment.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
