Position Overview:
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to join our Systems Group, tasked with addressing the objectives and challenges presented by our esteemed clients.

In this role, you will become part of a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters, and other professionals, working together to ensure the success of client projects while adhering to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the systems engineering team, ensuring the review of the Contractor's SE plans and processes, along with all CDRLS related to Systems Engineering work on the CBTC project.
  • Coordinate systems engineering activities with other Working Groups (WG), project management teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Guide the contractor in implementing a streamlined approach to systems engineering on the CBTC project.
  • Provide direction to the SE team regarding priorities and decision-making processes.
  • Act as the working group lead, offering guidance to the contractor and technical management.
  • Ensure contract requirements are comprehended and documented in associated CDRLS, such as system and subsystem requirements documents.
  • Oversee configuration management, V&V management, requirement management, system integration, and change control.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the requirements management tool (DOORS) and ensure integration with the contractor's database.
  • Develop presentations to report on contractor progress regarding SE activities to upper management.
  • Monitor the manufacturer's progress toward acceptance of the final Design review gate.
  • Oversee the manufacturer's software development process and ensure proper documentation and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with project control to review the manufacturer's monthly P6 Schedule and ensure accurate progress status.
  • Work with engineering to process requirement changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in CBTC, systems development lifecycle, and leading systems engineering efforts on complex rail systems projects.
  • Experience with the implementation of ISO15288, ISO29148, EN 50126, or similar systems engineering standards on complex rail systems projects.
  • Proficiency in requirements management and related tools, with a focus on generating traceability.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency with the MS-Office tool suite for preparing presentations and reports.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and task coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree(s).
  • Certification as INCOSE SE.
