We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Southeast Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Medical/Surgical Services and Adult Behavioral Medicine Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Perform various activities related to the needs of adult and geriatric patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Actively accept, understand, and practice appropriate standards of medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing.
- Contribute to the nursing assessment of patients.
- Document accurate and factual information on patient records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Exercise sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of the nursing process.
- Participate in the development, documentation, validation, and revision of patient care plans.
- Report critical or unusual situations promptly.
- Respond to patient and non-patient emergencies according to Southeast Health's policies and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers as a team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN license in the State of Alabama.
- Minimum two years of hospital LPN experience for Medical-Surgical Services, or one year of psychiatric nursing experience for Adult Behavioral Medicine Unit.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Annual completion of competency requirements.
