OPPORTUNITY:

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is looking to engage a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to support a federally funded initiative aimed at youth.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive prevention program addressing alcohol, drug, and tobacco use among young individuals. This role involves educating and guiding students to mitigate the risks associated with substance use and to foster a supportive environment that promotes retention and success within the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop individualized case management strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to all applicable HIPAA regulations.
  • Facilitate educational sessions and counseling to empower students in making informed decisions regarding substance use.

This position requires a commitment of 17 hours per week, typically spread over two days. The center operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related field. A valid in-state certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention is mandatory.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Certification as a CADC is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of one year in counseling is essential.
