Respite Caregiver

At Lutheran Services in Iowa, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respite Provider to join our team. As a Respite Provider, you will play a vital role in providing respite care services to families in the Waterloo and surrounding Cedar Valley area.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for serving others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to set their own schedule. You will work with families who need a break from caring for a child or adult with a disability, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their loved ones.

The Respite Provider position offers flexibility, with hours that may vary depending on the family's needs. You may work from home after a probationary period, making this an excellent opportunity for college students or those looking for a second job.

As a Respite Provider, you will be responsible for providing all care required to a child or adult with a disability, while maintaining a safe and nurturing home-based environment. You will work closely with families to understand their needs and provide support during times of respite.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, experience working with people with disabilities, and basic computer skills. A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a good driving record are also required.
