Job Overview

Gabletek is seeking skilled welders to join our team. As a welder trainee, you will undergo a two-week evaluation and training program, where you will learn the fundamentals of MIG and TIG welding, including theory, diagrams, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate welding and cutting equipment
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in a jig
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Grind welds flush and smooth with proper feathering of welded/ground area to flat surfaces
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and record keeping

Training and Certification:

You will also receive training and preparation for the CWI exam from AWS. Your pay will be based on job performance, attendance, and attitude.
