Gentiva Hospice
is seeking a
Clinical Operations Manager
to oversee our hospice services.
This is a Full-Time position with comprehensive benefits.
Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, during the day (e.g., 8 AM - 5 PM), with flexibility to accommodate patient and organizational needs.
This role is primarily office-based, with participation in patient visits as necessary.
Requirements include:
- A minimum of two years of experience in hospice or home health care.
- At least one year of leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
As the Clinical Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Executive Director, Administrator, or Senior Patient Care Manager. You will be responsible for the daily operations of your assigned hospice site, overseeing the clinical aspects of the hospice program and ensuring high-quality care for patients. You will manage the site in the absence of senior leadership, handle clinical and administrative functions, and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
Additionally, you will respond to phone inquiries and referrals with professionalism and compassion, participate in on-call nursing schedules, and provide direct bedside nursing care in patients' homes.
Candidate Profile:
Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with at least an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a clinical environment.
- At least one year of management or supervisory experience is required.
- Two or more years of experience in hospice or home care settings.
- Current nursing license in the state of employment is mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Active nursing license in the state of employment.
- CPR Certification.
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Personal Attributes:
- Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
Ability to adapt to various tasks and maintain efficiency and composure under changing circumstances.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of the needs of terminally ill patients and their families, along with a solid grasp of hospice care principles. Proficient patient assessment skills, excellent oral and written communication abilities, and thorough knowledge of managed care principles and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
