Job Title: Structural Welder - Fabrication Yard Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Welder to join our team at Core Group Resources. As a key member of our fabrication yard, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on structural steel components.
Key Responsibilities:
- weld structural steel and other metal components using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Cored)
- read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- set up and prepare structural materials, aligning and clamping metal parts to be welded
- inspect completed welds to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards
- work closely with other welders, fabricators, and team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion
- operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring it is in safe and proper working condition
- follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- minimum 3-5 years of experience as a structural welder in a fabrication yard or industrial environment
- proven experience welding structural steel components
- structural welder certification (AWS, ASME, or equivalent)
- additional certifications in specific welding processes or materials are an advantage
- safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are preferred
- proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding techniques, particularly for structural steel applications
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and technical drawings
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
