As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be integral to delivering high-quality healthcare services. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical functions and technical procedures essential for patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and perform thorough physical assessments.
- Document and communicate the care plan effectively, ensuring patients are fully prepared for their evaluations.
- Perform routine patient rounds to monitor progress and address any concerns.
- Order necessary medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Prepare discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals upon patient discharge.
- Provide patients with essential post-discharge care instructions and follow-up as needed.
- All responsibilities listed are essential functions of the role as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Additional related duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is mandatory.
- Possession of a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York is essential.
- Current NCCPA Certification is required.
- Valid BLS certification is necessary.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $180,000 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful candidate.
