Position Overview

Are you seeking a dynamic and supportive LPN role within a prestigious healthcare institution? Powers Health is offering an opportunity for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our esteemed psychiatric facility. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Psychiatric Staff LPN is tasked with executing, overseeing, communicating, and documenting the nursing process while ensuring a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The LPN adheres to the latest established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, and the policies and procedures of Powers Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts a thorough physical assessment each shift, including both subjective and objective data.
  • Engages with patients, families, and/or significant others to tailor the patient's care plan to their individual needs.
  • Ensures that physician's orders are accurately transcribed and executed without delay.
  • Reports any significant changes in the patient's condition to the unit manager, charge nurse, shift supervisor, and/or physician.
  • Continuously assesses the patient's responses to the care plan, educational initiatives, and rehabilitation activities throughout their stay and upon discharge.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a LPN by the relevant state health authority.
  • Holds and maintains current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and other necessary certifications in specialty areas.
