Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is in search of experienced candidates for the role of Captain on a Gulfstream G200 aircraft.
The aircraft operates under EJM's P135 certificate, with an annual flight time of approximately 325 hours.
The flight crew will consist of two Captains and a dedicated maintenance technician, along with a part-time pilot contractor to assist with scheduling and time off.
The Captain holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, in compliance with regulations, and efficiently.
The Captain adheres to all company and regulatory standards while providing an outstanding service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensure that crew assignments and trip planning comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each mission as necessary.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead essential briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with relevant personnel as needed.
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined by company policy.
- Complete all pre-flight checks, including verifying the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure mission readiness. Document any aircraft discrepancies in line with company SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure all ground servicing tasks (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed per SOPs.
- Conduct passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, ensuring the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers.
Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the Executive Jet Management service experience. Regularly address and resolve service discrepancies.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers. Effectively manage conflicts and challenges.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Stay current with regulatory and company-required training and experience.
- Adhere to the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report any safety or compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is required.
- Typed in the Gulfstream G200 is preferred.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours.
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
- PIC MEL: 500 hours.
- Instrument: 300 hours.
- Jet: 500 hours.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $432,000
