Job Title: Resident Caregiver

The Resident Caregiver plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. This position requires a high level of empathy, patience, and professionalism in interacting with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, food service, and housekeeping.
  • Support residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in resident care planning and implementation, ensuring individualized and person-centered care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect and compassion.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic reading and writing skills, with the ability to speak English in an understandable manner.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly, with a preference for those with dementia experience.
  • Certification required according to state regulations.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to push and pull objects, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis.
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning.
