Special Education Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team in Boulder. As an Inclusive Education Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment and Lesson Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of student needs and design tailored lesson plans to cater to their unique requirements.
  • Instruction and Support: Provide high-quality instruction and support in various educational settings, ensuring students receive the necessary assistance to excel academically.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Progress Monitoring and Adaptation: Regularly monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Classroom Environment: Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes socialization, empathy, and respect among students.

Requirements:

  • Certifications and Experience: Hold a valid teaching license with a specialization in special education and possess experience working with students with disabilities.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Showcase the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Pedagogical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of pedagogical principles and practices, enabling effective instruction and support.
