Acadia Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team at our detox/residential treatment center in the North Georgia Mountains. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
About the Role:
- Assess clients' needs and perform health screenings, vital signs, and basic first aid procedures.
- Prepare, administer, and document client medication safely and accurately.
- Monitor and report clients' signs and symptoms of withdrawal and response to ordered medication and therapies.
- Communicate effectively with medical, clinical, and admissions staff, as well as with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
- Meet facility and regulatory training requirements by attending mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
- Project a positive role model image for clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved nursing school.
- Licensed RN or LPN with no restrictions.
- Considerable knowledge and experience in nursing philosophy, policy, practices, and procedures.
- CPR/CPI certification (offered at the facility).
- Knowledge of chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation preferred.
- Ability to work with male/female adult substance abuse populations.
