Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Auditor-Appraiser to join our team at Fresno County, CA. As a key member of our Assessor-Recorder's Office, you will be responsible for managing the activities of the Personal Property Division and overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of divisional goals, programs, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the activities of the Personal Property Division
  • Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of divisional goals, programs, policies, and procedures
  • Direct subordinate staff responsible for carrying out activities essential to the day-to-day operations of the division
  • Consult with the Assessor-Recorder on divisional goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 18 semester units of accounting and/or auditing coursework
  • Three years of full-time, paid supervisory work experience as an Auditor-Appraiser in a California County Assessor's Office or with the California State Board of Equalization
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license or equivalent
  • Possession of a valid Advanced Appraiser certificate issued by the California State Board of Equalization
