Position Overview

As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services. This position involves performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms under the supervision of a radiologist.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA Required
  • RTM-RT Mammography - ARRT Required
  • RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT Required
Job Details
  • Schedule: 4x10, Monday to Thursday
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in breast screening and diagnostic procedures
  • Equipment: Hologic
  • First-time travelers: Welcome
  • Local candidates: Accepted
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize digital mammography equipment and technologies effectively.
  • Address the specific care needs of patients across various age groups.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage patient information using Epic.
  • Assist in scheduling breast diagnostic studies and maintaining departmental inventory.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in operating digital mammography equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to interpret physician orders for mammograms accurately.
  • Judgment skills for configuring equipment settings to produce quality images.
Additional Information
  • RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly encouraged.
