Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, taking radiographs, and assisting radiologists in the detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain radiography equipment, including positioning patients and regulating controls
  • Take radiographs of various portions of the body to assist radiologists in diagnosis
  • Position patients under machine and regulate controls
  • May perform x-ray examinations under sterile, surgical conditions
  • May process exposed film by automatic developer or hand tank solution
  • Provide healthcare customer services to patients, families, and guests of all ages
  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques producing diagnostic imaging information for interpretation by licensed practitioners
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of services while maintaining a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics
  • Control and maintain a safe examination and working environment
  • Assist in other areas of the practice, including patient intake
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized program of Radiological Science and Technology
  • Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License
  • BLS certification
  • Registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT certification
  • Continuing education requirements established by the ARRT
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
