Job Overview

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, offers a rewarding career as a Hospital Security Officer. In this role, you will serve and safeguard a high-profile healthcare customer, ensuring the safety and security of staff, members, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, detecting and preventing suspicious activity
  • Patrol the premises to identify and address potential security threats, including unauthorized individuals and security violations
  • Provide customer service and de-escalate conflicts in a professional and friendly manner
  • Inspect security devices and equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Screen individuals for admittance to the facility, expediting the process while maintaining security protocols
  • Respond to emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and hazardous situations, with calm urgency
  • May also include patient escort, patient watch, and providing safety escorts
Requirements
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, troubleshooting, and managing stressful situations
  • Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • Background investigation and drug screening as a condition of employment
  • Licensing requirements may apply, depending on state and local laws
  • Post-offer training and certification in Management of Aggressive Behavior
