We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and immunology research techniques and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Design, conduct, and evaluate research experiments to study the mechanisms of macrophage interactions between Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Plan and execute advanced molecular biology and immunology research techniques and procedures, including multicolor flow cytometry.
- Develop, adopt, and implement new laboratory methods to advance research goals.
- Analyze and interpret data to inform research decisions.
- Write research papers for publication and present research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings.
- Apply for postdoctoral fellowships to support research endeavors.
- Assist the Principal Investigator with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding.
- Participate in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and department seminars to stay current with research developments.
- MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree required.
- Ability to interact in a highly multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience with molecular biology and immunology research techniques and procedures desired.
- Experience with animal handling and husbandry desired.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a laboratory setting and may be required to complete a background check and/or pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
