Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Brickyard Healthcare. As a key member of our dietary services department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality meals, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals according to census and cycle menu recipes, as well as ala carte requests and special functions.
  • Assist with meal service and delivery, ensuring timely and efficient service to residents and employees.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure proper rotation of products within the assigned area of operation.
  • Adhere to established standards for station and equipment cleanliness, promoting a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Aide in the training of dining services staff, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Assist with the utilization of a menu software program, ensuring accurate and efficient meal planning and preparation.
  • Follow Company, Local, State, and Federal guidelines for Food Safety, Food Handling, and Required methods of Documentation.

Requirements:
  • Ability to operate food service equipment, including ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, employees, and other team members.
  • Industry experience preferred, but not required.
