Job Summary:
Boston Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Transfusion Medicine Physician to join our team in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. As a key member of our blood bank and transfusion medicine service, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients and contributing to the development of our clinical and educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical direction and oversight of the blood bank and transfusion medicine service
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures related to blood banking and transfusion medicine
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and coordination
- Participate in educational programs for residents and students, including didactics and service-related teaching
- Pursue clinical and/or translational research opportunities
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (M.D., D.O., or MBBS)
- Board eligible/certified by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine
- Experience in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine desired/required
- Fellowship trained: Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine
