Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve nursing unit performance
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff to achieve high-quality patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and services
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue growth
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
  • Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (If certification not present on hire, it is to be obtained within 3 years of hire into position.)
