About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in a float position. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiology services to patients in accordance with physician orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services: Perform quality general radiographic and specialty images through the use of clinical protocols, positioning patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, and respecting patient comfort and ability.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide radiology services, including patient education for all age groups served, and operate radiological equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded, and adhere to Cooperative-wide Personal Protection Equipment, Universal Precautions, related Medical Waste (RMW), Infection Control, Safety, and other OSHA Policies and Procedures.
  • Patient Care: Provide timely, responsive, expert services to customers in a positive, friendly manner, including patient, physicians, and other employees, and maintain strict patient and employee confidentiality.
  • Radiation Safety: Maintain safe radiation levels at all times to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others, and follow written Policy and Procedure Manual on radiation safety rules.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved accredited radiologic technology program by the time of hire.
  • Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire, Basic Life Support required at hire, and Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Experience: One (1) year of direct experience with diagnostic procedures preferred.
