Geospatial Analyst

Join Ducks Unlimited, a leader in wetlands conservation, in a dynamic role that combines GIS expertise with natural resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update the National Wetlands Inventory within the western United States using ESRI products.
• Assist with various GIS projects throughout the western United States, Alaska, and boreal Canada.
• Collaborate with biologists and other staff to provide conservation planning, GIS modeling, mapping, and graphics support.
• Develop and maintain GIS systems, including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Fieldmaps.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge of GIS concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with ESRI products, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
• Strong inter-personal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Background in natural resources, with a focus on wetlands and wildlife.
• Photo interpretation skills and experience with wetland classification and identification.

Desirable Traits:

• Computer troubleshooting skills.
• Cartographic design experience.
• Wetland classification and identification skills.

Work Conditions:

Primarily based in an office setting, with majority of work performed at a desk. Fieldwork may be required.

Financial Assistance:

This is a paid internship, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. No benefits or relocation costs are offered.
