Job Opportunity: Patient Care TechnicianWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team at Health Systems Management, Inc. (HSM). As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:- Assist with and prepare patients for dialysis treatment, including setting up the hemodialysis machine and collecting vital signs.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any concerns or observations to the lead nurse.
- Perform cannulation and obtain labs as needed.
- Document patient information and vital signs in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- High School Diploma required.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work long hours and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months following the first day of employment.
- Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification approved by the American Heart Association.
