This role is crucial for overseeing the daily functions of all Patient Access Areas within the healthcare facility. The position involves planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and controlling activities related to patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, pre-registration, prior authorization verification, and collections at the point of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the patient registration process and ensure efficiency in operations.
  • Manage insurance verification and pre-registration activities to enhance patient experience.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to foster a productive work environment.
  • Implement best practices in prior authorization verification and point of service collections.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a full-time management position is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the patient admitting process and knowledge of the Admitting Department's functions.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring staff in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in Hospital Admitting Management is essential.
  • Familiarity with Cerner Community Works is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and departmental staff.
